This is me.

I'm 62 yrs old, married, with 3 children, all now grown up. I qualified with a degree in Physics, and after 3 years in Manufacturing Industry changed to IT, first with IBM for 22 years and then with Sema Group UK. I took an early retirement option in 1999 and ran my own Outsource consultancy for 8 years, before finally winding it up in 2007. Now I have all my time to do what I want! Apart that which is taken by family and the support I give to my local FE College where I am on the board of governors.

My likes (apart from growing cactus plants) are

¤ music (Vivaldi to Copland, Buddy Holly to Madonna),

¤ travelling (I can get along in French, and nearly in Spanish), and there are still many more countries I want to visit.

¤ reading almost everything, including SF (but don't the endless fantasy sagas pall by now?),

¤ following rugby (somewhat passively I must admit now),

¤ photography - both 35mm film and digital, and recently HD video!!!

¤ gardening (yes, normal things, not just prickly greenhouse items)

¤ food and wine (within limits)

¤ single malt whisky's
