I was fortunate to be able to go to a business meeting in San Diego, and to add a couple of days at the beginning of the trip.

 

Day 1 – Joshua Tree National Monument

 

Day 2 – Through the Anzo Borrego Deser from the Salton Sea to Julian

 

Day 3 – At the end of the trip, a last day back up to the Anzo Borrego Desert

 

This was my first trip into real cactus habitats, and was an inspiration for future trips.
